地域診断におけるGISの活用

Abstract

地域診断は保健師のための地域活動の根拠としてその重要性が指摘されている。また、地理情報システムGISはオープンソフトウエアの開発により普及し、地域診断への活用が期待されている。本稿では、奈良県吉野町保健センターでの地域診断で試みたGIS分析例を紹介し、今後のGISの活用方法について解説した。検討方法は次の3段階でおこなった。①率・比・割合を用いたGISコロプレス図の作成 ②クラスター分析結果のコロプレス表示 ③QGISの空間分析であるバッファ図の作成 その結果、GISは地域の健康情報を可視化し、住民と協働できる地域診断づくりつながることが分った。留意点には、GISを用いて地域における地理的分布を解釈するには、人口分布との関連で捉える必要がある。また、GISの活用により空間的従属性を視覚化することが出来るので、行政の区分けである小地域の分類だけではなく、隣接性(近接生)も考慮した地域の区分けの必要性、及び空間演算ツールの活用が挙げられた。

Public health nurses make community diagnoses, which form the bases for decisions about community health interventions. GIS is a user-friendly open source information processing system that is recently available for analysing community health. GIS is an important tool for conununity assessments. In this report, GIS was applied to a community diagnosis of Yoshino-cho Town, a local community in the hilly region of Nara Prefecture. GIS data were analysed to make a community diagnosis and to evaluate the use of GIS in Yoshino-cho Town. The method was employed as follows: (1) a choropleth map of the ratio was drawn, (2) a choropleth map that included a cluster analysis was drawn, and (3) a map with a buffer was developed. The results found that GIS is a tool that can help health information geographic visualization. However, a problem arises when comparing the results across areas with different populations within a region that has a small population. The members of the population affected the popu1ation rate. Govemment regional statistics were employed; however, the geographic boundaries of the communities were identified using spatial dependence and spatial analysis.
