中枢神経系疾患における上部消化管出血の臨床的検討 ： 特にH₂-blockerに対する抵抗例に関して

Abstract

Upper gastro-intestinal bleeding (GI bleeding) associated with central nervous system disease has been known since the 19th century. In spite of clinical application of H₂ receptor blocker (Cimetidine), GI bleeding is never a rare complication. In cases with an injured hypothalamus, the level of consciousness is low grade and the bleeding is difficult to control. It may be that the impairment of the ascending reticular activating system (ARAS) is concerned with GI bleeding. We guess that the prevention of complications such as pneumonia and hepatic failure is significant for the prevention of GI bleeding.
