| Abstract: | We report a case of myelohypoplastic acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL)
with KOR-SA3544 positive cells. A 67-year-old man was admitted to our hospital
because of pharyngitis. Laboratory data revealed leukopenia (2,000/μl). He was
diagnosed as ALL (L2) with KOR-SA3544 as a surface-marker. Prognosis of ALL with
KOR-SA3544 positive cells in aged patients is considered not to be good, because KOR-
SA3544 is associated with Philadelphia chromosome. He was treated according to the
protocol JAL-SG ALL-93 by the combination of Vincristine, Doxorubicin, L-
Asparaginase, and Methotrexate. A bone marrow examination after chemotherapy did
not show any blastic cells or ALL cells. Thus, in spite of the presence of KOR-SA3544
positive cells, complete remission could be introduced by the treatment. During the
treatment, serious side effects did not occur. |
