長期間無治療で経過した腸型ベーチェット病の一例

Abstract

A 31-year-old man was hospitalized in another hospital for massive melena on July 7, 1985. As the symptoms disappeared, he had not received a medical check for 14 years when he came to our hospital with a chief complaint of melena on August 7, 1999. There was an ulcer scar in the cecum found by endoscopic examination. It was cured conservatively, but a recurrence with a deep ulcer was diagnosed by endoscopy in October 1999. He had had multiple afta in his mouse and folliculitis on his face and soma since the age of 12. Mesaladine was administered under a diagnosis of suspected intestinal Behcet's disease, after which melena was not found, but ulcer lesions recurred a few times. Medication is somet㎞es effective for Intestinal Behcet's disease, and so surgery should not be undertaken lightly.
