高齢，ハイリスク喉頭癌患者の治療経験

Abstract

We report a clinical case record of an 86-year-old man with supraglottic laryngeal cancer T4NO. He had many geriatric complications : heart failure, blindness, severe hearling loss, hypertension, senile dementia, and suffocated to sinus arrest. Although he was treated with total laryngectomy and bilateral neck dissection under general anesthesia after his revival, the patient died of cerebral infarction five months after his operation. It is important to pay due attention to the psychological attitudes of elderly patients. We feel that even a senile patient should be able to live positively until death of natural old age.
