抄録: Sixteen cases of ameloblastoma treated in Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Nara Medical University Hospital, during the past seven years from October 1981 to October 1988 are analysed. In this clinico-statistical study, the following results were obtained. (1) Age of the patients ranged from 8 to 71 years old. The mean age was 39.6 years. As for sex distribution, 10 of 16 cases occurred in males, and 6 cases were females. The average duration of the tumor after onset was 23.7 months. (2) All cases occurred in the mandible. Six cases occurred in premolars, 8 cases in molars and mandibular ramus and 2 cases were in other regions. (3) In roentgenographic features, 7 cases were unilocular, 8 cases were multilocular and
1 case was not defined. The sizes of the lesions ranged from the size of the tip of a little finger to the size of an infant's head. (4) Two cases were associated with an impacted tooth and the average age of onset of these cases was 13.5 years. This was 32.3 years younger than the other cases which were
not associated with an impacted tooth. (5) In histopathological findings, 2 cases were cystic ameloblastoma, 9 cases were follicular type, 3 cases were plexiform type and 2 cases were acanthomatous type. Basal cell type and granular cell type were not found. In follicular type, one case accompanied by prominent bone formation was observed. (6) The operation methods should be determined by the patient's age, sex, tumor size, roentgenographic features and histopathological types. Except for very large ones, extirpation of the tumor or partial resection from intraoral approach were recommended. If the tumors were too large to conserve the inferior border of the mandible or recurrent, resection was necessary.

抄録: The hemodynamic properties of acebutolol (Ac), a selective β₁-receptor blocking agent, were examined. To investigate the effects of Ac on systemic and regional hemodynamics in the anesthetized adult mongrel dogs given the drug in a single intravenous dose, the blood flows in several organs were measured at the same time using the electromagnetic flowmeter. The separated renal blood flow (extra-RBF) on the extracorporeal circuit was also measured. The drug was given in doses of 0.01, 0.05 and 0.25 mg/kg. 1) Cardiac output (CO) and heart rate decreased significantly regardless of Ac dosage. 2) Renal blood flow rarely changed. GFR also did not change although the effective renal blood flow (ERBF) decreased. In the extracorporeal circuit, either RBF or ERBF did not change. 3) Carotid blood flow (CBF) decreased with an increase in carotid vascular resistance. 4) Hepatic, superior mesenteric arterial blood flow and portal vein blood flow decreased more markedly, than CO did. The results suggest that CBF and visceral organ blood flows decrease unpredictably after dosing with Ac, and that Ac maintains GFR by intra-renal circulatory redistribution.1989-08-30T15:00:00Z砂ネズミ前脳虚血モデルにおける海馬CA1 sector星状膠細胞の経時的超微細構造変化

抄録: Transient forebrain ischemia in gerbils was produced by a 5-minute occlusion of the bilateral carotid arteries. This model produces selective delayed neuronal death (SDND) in the hippocampus CA1 sector with high reproducibility. Changes in the hippocampal and cortical astrocytes and neurons at 1, 2, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 hours after ischemia were evaluated by electron microscopy, and quantitative estimations of increases in cytoplasmic area and the number of mitochondrial profile were performed. In areas of the hippocampus with SDND, cytoplasm-soma ratio increased 32.8% in control to 49.1% at 1 hour after ischemia (p<0.01) and 42.2% at 96 hours (p<0.05). The
number of mitochondrial profiles in astrocytic perikarya rose significantly at 48 hours (p<0.05) and 96 hours (p<0.01) postischemia. Paired nuclei which are regarded as a reactive change of astrocyte were observed at 12 hours postischemia. In the area of the parietal cortex, no significant morphological change was observed in either neurons or astrocytes. Even in the final evaluation (at 96 hours), neurons, astrocytes and the surrounding neuropils were morphologically intact. In the early phase (<6 hours), the cytoplasmic swelling of astrocytes suggests the protective activity for hyperexciting neurons. 抄録: In a previous paper, I have shown evidence that acid treatment of washed normal platelets followed by formalin-fixation serves as a suitable material to detect auto
and allo antibodies to platelets by flow cytometry. The percentage of fluorescence positive cells (% FPC) was less than 20.0 for fifty healthy adults. In this paper, I determined the levels of platelet bound IgG (PBIgG) in 20 patients with chronic ITP and in 27 patients with SLE. The % FPC in chronic ITP ranged from 97.1 to 8.3 (44.7±29.4, mean±SD), and that for SLE from 99.5 to 9.3 (38.8±23.9, mean±SD). In the patients with chronic ITP, a clearly inverted correlation was observed between platelet count and % FPCs (r=-0.6511, p<0.01). Next, the captured enzyme liked sorbent assay (ELISA) and the immunoblotting assay were performed on these serum specimens. In captured ELISA, anti GPⅠb or Ⅱb/Ⅲa complex, mouse monoclonal antibodies designed by Ⅰbl and CP8 (provided by Dr. Zimmerman at Scripps Clinics), were used as the solid phase antibody to micro plate and 1% Triton X-100 soluble fraction of platelet lysate was used for epitope antigen to these
MoAbs. Allo antibodies bound to respective antigens were detected ALP conjugated anti mouse IgG. By this procedure, in seven of 20 patients with chronic ITP and 4 out of 27 patients with SLE anti GPⅠb antibody were detected. Similarly, in two patients with chronic ITP and in 4 patients with SLE, anti GPⅡb/Ⅲa complex antibody were detected. Of these patients, only one patient with SLE had specific antibody against 45Kd fraction of platelet lysate which was shown by immunoblotting assay.1989-08-30T15:00:00Z
