抄録: Clinical statistics on outpatients, inpatients and operations in our department in 1988 revealed the following : 1) The total number of outpatients was 2,678.
2) The total number of inpatients was 376.
3) According to our classification of disease, urological tumor (143 cases, 26.2%) was the highest in frequency, followed by urolithiasis (119 cases, 21.8%) and renal failure (65 cases, 11.9%) and others among the inpatients. 4) Three hundred and ninty-eight operations were performed.1991-02-27T15:00:00Z奈良県立医科大学泌尿器科学教室における1987年の臨床統計

抄録: Although many attempts have been made to study human colonic motility, the colonic transit is still poorly understood. Both spontaneous and neostigmine-induced peristalsis of the colon were studied with scintigraphy. A polythene tube was inserted into the cecum through a colonofiberscope. 37 MBq of ⁹⁹ᵐTc-DTPA and 75 ml of saline were instilled and dynamic scan was begun. Eight healthy volunteers were examined by the method above mentioned. The sampling time was set at fifteen seconds in six persons and three seconds in the rest. 0.5 mg of neostigmine was injected intravenously to stimulate the paristalsis when no peristalsis occurred within thirty minutes after the study was begun. Dynamic scanning was performed for sixty to ninety minutes. This scintigraphic study revealed that the spontaneous and induced peristalsis were almost identical on colonogram. ⁹⁹ᵐTc-DTPA solution was propelled from the cecum and ascending colon to the sigmoid colon or the rectum for about fifteen seconds during mass peristalsis. Colonogram
(time-activity curve) enables us to analyze mass peristalsis easily and more objectively
than colonoscintigram. The spontaneous and neostigmine-induced peristalsis seemed to be almost identical in all but one of eight subjects.1991-02-27T15:00:00Z著明な高アルドステロン血症を呈した本態性高血圧症の1例

抄録: A 55-year-old man was admitted because of hypertension. He exhibited no clinical manifestation but hypertension. And he became normotensive during hospitalization. Though plasma aldosterone concentration ranged through remarkably high levels (1600
to 6900 pg/ml), daily urinary aldosterone excretion, plasma renin activity, serum potassium and arterial blood pH remained within normal limits. General endocrine function was normal and responses to all diagnostic tests of the adrenal gland were proved to fit normal patterns. Ultrasonographic scan, CT scan and adrenal scintigraphic scan did not detect adrenal tumor or hyperplasia. These findings suggest that in this case aldosterone determined by radioimmunoassay would have no effect on hypertension, and have no biological activity.1991-02-27T15:00:00Z
